First week back in Louvain for the ultimate semester! Between one information session to another I had time:
- to attend lectures (Supply Chain Management was exciting but Law boring!)
- meet the new CEMS students
- have dinner with my new flatmates (picture will follow soon...)
- have the unexpected visit of an old friend
- register on facebook
and much more ;-)
like discovering this....

I spent last week in Prague at the VSE to follow what we call a blocked seminar. Here is the exact definition of what a CEMS blocked seminar really is:
"The weeklong Block Seminars are organised by each of the CEMS Schools . They are academically and culturally intensive and the experience is the ideal starting point into the programme. Seminars are managed by interdisciplinary, inter-university teacher teams and provide the opportunity to debate and discuss innovative management topics from different cultural perspectives. Topics and teaching methods vary depending on the organising school and interfaculty team, and CEMS students are expected to acquire in-depth knowledge of their chosen topic in this very short period of time."
Of course the best thing about CEMS events is always networking. In Prague I met for example Italians (who will be at the Bocconi when I will be there!), a Danish guy found of Poland, my roommate was Dutch studying in Copenhagen, then a Polish girl coming coming to LLN in the spring, Czesh students of course and for the first time, someone from HEC (n'est-ce pas Julien?) who did his "classes préparatoires" in the same lycée where I was in 4e!
That's Europe!!!
Do you know this Mastercard ad that says: "There are some things money can't buy. For everything else there's Mastercard."
I can really assure you that the most valuable thing on this earth is to know Jesus-Christ and to have true friends that share you faith. This is priceless...
One week ago I had my very last week-end in Budapest and it is memorable.
I will never forget this summer in Hungary that's for sure... I even got some material to remember: from a nickname to a Bible verse and of course two DVDs full of pictures (thank you Gigi for being the photographer ;-)
Here you can see that we even ate the Magyarorszàg.

Last Nomadic Stop
You don't need to wait for the telegram...
Courrier Sud.

Inspiration (2): Impalas
An impala is a medium-sized African antelope. The name impala comes from the Zulu language meaning "gazelle".
Impala range between 73 and 92 cm (29 and 36 in) tall. Average mass for a male impala is 46 to 76 kg (100 to 170 lb), while females weigh about 35 to 50 kg (77 to 110 lb). They are normally reddish-brown in color (hence the Afrikaans name of "Rooibok"), have lighter flanks and white underbellies with a characteristic "M" marking on the rear. Impalas are an ecotone species living in light woodland with little undergrowth and grassland of low to medium height. They have an irregular distribution due to dependence on free water, soils with good drainage with firm footing and moderate or less slope. While they are usually close to water in the dry season, they can go weeks without drinking when they have access to green vegetation.
Impalas are adaptable foragers. They usually switch between grazing and browsing depending on the season. During wet seasons when grasses are green and growing they graze. During dry seasons it browses foliage, shoots, forbs and seeds. It can also adapt to different habitats by being a grazer in one habitat a browser in another. Leopards, cheetahs, lions and wild dogs prey on impala.
