Finally we go for the first stage. 32 kms as we had to do Day 2 and Day 3 kilometers on the same day. The last kms are always the most difficult ones.... In average you paddle (downstream) about 4 kms/hour.

I could imagine how you would feel exploring the Amazon...

To reach our destination we had to develop a rescue plan... In deed, that day a railway strike forbid us to reach Dunaujvaros by train. So we went by car. It was raining. Daniel was driving not faster than 70 km/h on the highway with the old Combi Volswagen (9 pers) + the 7 canoes.

The Tisza is the second largest river in Hungary. Parallel to the Danube but in the East of the country it is flowing from Ukraine to Serbia. In the following posts you will see our trip from Tiszaujvaros to Tisza-To.

On http://www.tisza-to-info.hu/ you can find more touristic information about the region.
