EasyJet arrives at Milano Malpensa T2. That means that you have to take the bus (Malpensa shuttle 6,00EUR or Malpensa express 6,50EUR). As they are coming from T1 they are unfortunately already full when they stop at the Terminal 2. So if you don't want to queue for hours:

1) Choose the company that is further from the entrance (there are usually less people waiting there)

2) Buy your ticket in the hall & you get priority for boarding on those who buy it from the driver.

It will be very quick! 10 days of rain minus one (yesterday). I stayed at home all time except for 2 things:

1) I had to go in Louvain for a meeting with my tutor. Unfortunately I never went further than Den Haag Holland Spoor because there were no trains! Once again! The service level is far below 50% but there is absolutely nothing to do about it... Next day the newspaper stated that they got more than 800kms of cumulative traffic jam :-) Last record of that kind was in 1998.

2) I met with an italian friend who is working in Holland. We visited Den Haag and I went for the first time at the Gemeentemuseum (modern art). Picasso's sketchings apart I liked it. I never noticed before that all building are closed: it's impossible to visit a church or any official building.

Here it's raining, pouring, snowing all day long since I'm back! The sea roars and we stay home.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20 (NIV)

esterday I put the "Daily Verse" widget on my computer and Gal 2:20 is the verse of today. I wanted to share it because it's about the meaning of our lives, REAL life... and nothing else!

Destination: Firenze
Travel: by train from Milan & by foot in the city
Appreciation: *** need to go once again

The cems club organized a trip to Florence this week-end. We were about 25 to travel together. First day we spent all time eating. Second day we visited, the mercato: panini needed!!! then the Uffizi: classic stop, the hills: 1h30 to go up - 10 mins to walk down and finally had lasagna... Third day, sunday I went to the church (Chiesa dei fratelli - via della vecchia vigna) and then joined the others for gelato + Duomo.

+ beautiful city, at least 10x better than Milan
+ a lot of interesting shops: I understand why the girls went shopping there from Perugia ;-)

- the weather
- tourists
- duration of the journey (impossible to do it in one day from Milan)

Milan, of course!
////

Location: Como (it), Côme (fr) (45 kms North of Milan, at the Swiss border)
Price: 2 x 3,50 euros from Stazione Milano Cadorna
Time: 50 minutes / departure every hour
Recommendation: ***

I went to the Como today. Very nice atmosphere. Surrounded by the alpine hills, the narrow streets invite to a stroll. I had my first ice-cream of the Year: coco & cioccolato. And the temperature seemed to be higher than in Milano, strange! From there you can take the funicular up to the hill or the boat-bus to the other cities of the Como lake.
