Moni, one of my hungarian friends is studying the flute at the "Zeneakadémia Nagytermében" (the Ferenc Liszt Conservatory of Music of Budapest). After a hard selection test they study there for 5 years. At the end they have a Diplomakoncert. We went to listen the one of a girl of her class. She played four pieces:
- Mozart: D-dur quartett for Strings & flute
- A. Jolivet: Chant de Linos, a modern piece for flute & piano
- S. Prokofiev: D-dur Sonata Op.94, also for flute & piano
- A. Vivaldi: concerto for flute piccolo & chamber orchester
She was amazing at playing the piccolo!!!!
The concert hall alone is worth the visit... beautiful decoration.
